Yesterday the issues with the budget were more-or-less resolved. Nobody's here at the moment so we seem to have an extension. We got our paperwork to the people who need it so everything ought to be ok.
Progress was also made with the storyboard. Details and colour were added. Slowly all our frames for act 1 & 2 getting to a more finished state all together. Here's a taster:
Style sheets were finished and a list of sound effects for act 1 & 2 were made. Soon all we'll just need the voice acting and we can start making something playable.
Today a few tweaks were made to Beethoven to make him less curvy and separate from the rest. He's so spiky, its hard to not make him look like a villain. Some tones were tweaked as well.
We need one big image for the introduction which was started on today. Just figuring out the composition and how to include all the elements we need. Its not done, but its coming along. It should make a nice promotion piece when it is finished. :)
In programming news, our game's basic system structure is now completed! We can now add story elements and player decisions into our game. Good timing as play testing will undoubtedly begin within the next week or two depending on our progress.
The script is coming along well, the next big milestone in our heroes' quest has been written. As the first part of the game is finished we'll be well prepared for the next bit, so good planning on our behalf (we hope...).
